Crockpot Brats

I know it's not Oktoberfest or even close to that time of the year but j had a craving for some brats and kraut. Here is a recipe that is simple and you can make quickly for a week night dinner.

Ingredients:
1 package of bratwurst (I buy the 12pk)
2 cans of beer (any kind)
1 large onion
1/4 cup of Dijon mustard
1 can of kraut (optional)

Directions:
1. Grill up your brats or you can fry them in a pan.
2. Cut up your onion in larger strips and place in crock pot.
3. Pour beer in crock pot with onion.
4. Mix in mustard into beer mixture.
5. Place brats on top.
6. Cook on low for a minimum of 4 hrs. The longer you let go the more flavor you will get. Yum!

****top with kraut if you like*****

Day 4 & 5

Day 4--- make someone a homemade dinner (chicken noodle soup)

Day 5-- give thanks to the teachers at his school

Someone thinks....

My currently youngest is always with me. He is attached to my hip 24/7. So it doesn't surprise me when he frequently plays with kitchen items but this time he wanted us to cook him for dinner.

He loves to dance

Every time we go to a wedding my husband wants to dance. He is a dancing machine. We went to the most beautiful wedding back in September at the Windows in Minneapolis,MN for my cousins wedding. It was so amazing. They only thing that would have made the day better would have been having my cousin Johnny with us. Miss you!

Fun in Iowa

Iowa....who has fun in Iowa. Guess what WE DO!!

I have a rental car because a drunk driver hit my car. I drive a gas guzzling trailblazer so it's not often we go down to my Dads house because he lives 1.5 hour away. I know it's pathetic but I hate spending $50 plus dollars just to drive there. ;) Sooooo, we went down there the other weekend. Kids played with the goats, in the barn, grilled burgers, and visited. It was very nice!
